High-Tech production and assembling in cleanrooms

In the summer of 1998 Cenova moved into a new plant, especially built and adapted to the production in Cleanrooms. The plant has a production area of 4500 sqm. of which 1500 sqm. are 13 assembly cleanrooms class 7 (10.000). The injection moulding takes place in a small cleanroom (4 machines) class 8 (100.000) and a bigger cleanroom (8 machines) class 8 (100.000).
Microbiological controls and particlecounts are performed 4 times per year i all cleanrooms.
In June 2004 a new warehouse of 700 sqm. were built and the old warehouse becomes new cleanroom class 8 (100.000) for injection moulding. In 2004 the canteen is built out to double area and a new bigger cleanroom store class 7 (10.000) is built. All assembly cleanrooms are visible from a visitors passage.
In 2009 a new big store and 5 new cleanrooms for assembly was built.
In 2010 a new fire proofstore was built for customer owned tooling for injection moulding and thermoforming.
Injection moulded parts are transported on cleanroom conveyor belts to the quality assurance area in class 7 (10.000) where they are collected and inspected once every hour. Then the details are packed in double plastic bags and/ore plastic cases, and transported in cleanroom elevators to intermediate stores awaiting the assembling.

After the assembly process, the products are packed in double plastic bags, labelled and transported in a cleanroom elevator to the final packaging area.
There are two laboratories for quality assurance and testing, both for starting material and finished products as well as producing product labels.

The factory has a closed cooling water system for the tooling, in which the heat is recycled with a heat pump. The company is connected to the community hotwater heating system.
The ventilation system is equiped with HEPA-filter, regulary checked. Also there is an automatic vacuum system transporting the plastic granules to the machines and transporting the waste away, which is delivered to the community for heat exchange. All other waste is separated and collected by the community under contract.
Each cleanroom has a separate heating/ventilation system with Hepa Filters which allows installations in one cleanroom without disturbing any other cleanroom.

Cenova has performed smoke tests in our cleanrooms in order to visualize the airflow, and to help us optimize the conditions in the rooms.
